R markdown: fractions and subscripts without LaTex -

i trying write first markdown document. unfortunately, have 2 smaller problems markdown.

in general running text (aside of code phrases) embed subtexts , mathematical fraction terms. aware use pandoc or latex circumvent these issues purpose of documentation unwise use outside material , latex format loose uniformity.

is there option use subtexts , fractions r?

best , many :).

for clarification - end of course not in word markdown output file: enter image description here

this may not concise way this, should want.

based on question assuming using rstudio , have created r markdown document , saved it. (if doing markdown in context code still work, tested under these conditions.)

try this:
this text subscript , superscript , <math><mfrac><mi>frac-</mi><mi>tions</mi></mfrac></math>.

 tags subscript
 superscript
fractions harder, using <math></math> can use <mfract><mfract> specify fraction , <mi></mi> identify text want numerator , denominator.
