Adding Custom Pages in Wordpress -

i making first steps learning code, building wordpress theme make experiments , see how works practice.

i installed wordpress locally , made child theme. start designing new theme started watching how wordpress structure works , there don't understand:

i making portfolio, , have sections (paintings, films , photography). , each section has subcategory.

it means each section page , each subcategory post? or each section page , each category page too?

you can add subcategories subpages other pages. so, follow these steps:

1. go administration > pages > add new panel.

2. in right menu, click "page parent" drop-down menu.

3. the drop-down menu contains list of pages created site.

4. select appropriate parent page drop-down menu make current page child page.

5. add content subpage.

6. click publish when ready.
