multithreading - win32: waitable event object for GUI messages? -


is possible create event object becomes signalled when gui message(s) is/are available, 1 can create event objects signal presence of data on socket instance? idea use waitmultipleevents either happening on gui or request arriving on tcp/ip socket.

i'd delegate whole client/server comm stuff background thread if weren't quicktime app (quicktime rather quirky multithreading concerned, on win32 @ least).

btw, can 1 things moving/resizing/renaming windows created on thread, using dedicated functions - or require posting messages explicitly?

there's no waitable object messages in queue, there wait function wait waitable object or message in queue. see msgwaitformultipleobjects.
